Virbac Effipro is an antiparasitic spray against ticks, fleas and lice. The product is intended for dogs and cats.

Characteristics:

Fipronil is an insecticide and acaricide belonging to the phenylpyrazole group. It inhibits GABA complex by binding to chloride channels by blocking pre- and postsynaptic transfer of chloride ions across cell membranes. This results in uncoordinated central nervous system activity and insect and mite death. Fipronil exerts insecticidal and acaricidal activity against fleas (Ctenocephalides spp), ticks (Rhipicephalus spp, Dermacentor spp., Ixodes spp. Including Ixodes ricinus) and lice (Trichodectes spp. A.Felicola spp.) In dog and cat.

Indication:

Target species: dogs and cats. Treatment of flea infestation (Ctenocephalides spp.) In dogs and cats. Treatment with tick infestation (Ixodes ricinus, Rhipicephalus sanguineus) in dogs and cats. Contraindication:

Composition:

Fipronil 2.5 mg in 1 ml spray (solution).

Side effects:

If licking occurs, short-term hypersalivation due to the nature of the vehicle may occur.
