Description

Dog Activity - POKER BOX 2

general information
1.This game is designed to connect human to dog games. Do not leave the dog unattended with this toy.
2. Place the game in a place that allows the dog to walk around to find the ideal playing position.
3. Choose a calm atmosphere for the game. We recommend "one-to-one" training (if you have more than one dog, train them separately).
4. Choose low goals and don't promise much from your dog. This will give you a lot of fun while training.
5. Divide the exercise into several sections to avoid overloading the dog (max. 15 min.) And repeat several times a day.
6. From the beginning, help the dog to complete the task so that he does not lose motivation. Especially in the beginning, it is important that the dog joins the game with a positive result, which occurs if the success is fast and receives a reward for it. From the beginning, you can give the dog a reward for trying the game. As soon as the dog finds out that it is a "game of food", he will soon understand the exercises and have fun.
7. If the dog does not complete the task, try to support him with compliments and stroking. Feel free to take a step back if the dog does not reach the next goal. Never kill or punish a dog.
8. In order to arouse interest in the dog, fill the tubes with treats in his presence from the beginning. To increase the difficulty, you can do so in his absence.
9.Select the correct start time. If the dog is fed, wait about 1.5 hours before starting. You can also feed the dog during the game if you exchange treats for granules.
10. Always start a game with a signal such as GAME and end with a signal such as STOP, immediately after the dog gets all the rewards. If the dog hears signals, reward him with another treat and thus ensure a calm and positive end to the game.
11.Training should always end with a sense of accomplishment.

Warning: There is "right" and "wrong" in this game. Each dog, as well as a person, is individual and you need to find your own solution. Let the dog decide whether to perform the task with his snout or paw, whether he pulls or pushes the parts and in what order. This means that your dog may differ in his view of the following instructions, which are only recommended as a way to work easily and meaningfully with the dog. Therefore, your dog may show procedures or tendencies that are not described below. However, the general rule is not to let the dog take the toy away or break it (this is often a signal of disappointment or excessive strain).

Training:
Please add one exercise after another. Do not increase the level of load before the dog does a certain exercise. Praise the dog after each successful event.

Training can begin:

From the beginning, let the dog sniff the individual parts of the game. In this case, do not fix the parts to the base. To maintain proper functionality of the various options, use only dry treats.
1.Exercise with a mini tower:
a / place treats in the presence of a dog on a drawer. For simplicity, do not insert the drawer completely into the tower. Then just a gentle pull will be enough for the treats to fall. Give the dog a start command, eg HRA. The dog will try to pull out the drawer. If he has a problem, help him. Show him how to pull out the drawer with the loop. To draw attention to the loop, reward the dog from the beginning for sniffing the loop. Praise a lot of dogs, especially in the first attempts.
b / repeat this exercise until the dog understands that he will get a treat when he pulls the drawer by the loop.
c / to increase the difficulty, always slide the drawer further and further into the tower with each attempt.
2.exercise with the lid:
a / place the treat in the middle of the hole. Support the dog to touch the bone lever. Praise a lot of dogs, especially in the first attempts. From the beginning, help the dog to flip the lever when he touches it and get a treat.
b / as soon as the dog understands what is going on, let him act alone.
3. practice with a throwing tower:
a / place the treat on the moving platform as close as possible so that it is visible. Encourage the dog to use the pedal. Praise a lot of dogs, especially in the first attempts. From the beginning, help the dog to depress the pedal. Prevent the dog from obtaining the treat in another way (eg language).
b / as soon as the dog understands what is going on, let him act alone.
4.exercise with sliding lid / ball
Sliding lid:
a / the dog has already been acquainted with the loop and drawer at the mini tower. The difference here is that he must first lift the loop and then pull it sideways.
b / place the treat inside the box and do not close the lid completely. From the beginning, place another treat under the loop.
c / when the dog understands that he has to pull the lid sideways, you can close the lid more and more with each attempt. Now you no longer have to add a treat under the loop.
d / as soon as the dog pulls the lid off without help, increase the difficulty by putting a treat in the back of the box. Now he gets the treat just by pulling off the lid completely.
5.Ball:
e / put treats in the tube in the presence of the dog. Then by moving the ball the treat falls out and the dog is quickly rewarded.
f / give the dog a start signal, eg GAME. The dog starts trying to get the treat out. If he has a problem with that, help him. Show him how to move the ball and then praise the dog a lot on the first try
g / later reduce the number of treats until you have only one per shift.
