Description

Scalibor Protectorband is an antiparasitic dog collar to protect against ticks, fleas, mosquitoes and midges with the new drug release technology. It is waterproof and completely odorless.

  • protects dogs against tick ticks for 6 months
  • protects against fleas for 4 months
  • protects against blood sucking of the midwife of the genus Phlebotomus for 5 to 6 months
  • protects against blood sucking by adult Culex pipiens mosquitoes for 6 months

Dogs can bathe with him in the water. The active substance is not released into the environment, so the dog can be handled without any restrictions and children can safely cuddle and play with it.

How it works:

The patented active ingredient complex is released from the collar slowly and extends with the lipid layer of the skin to the entire body of the animal without evaporating the active substance into the environment, so it does not smell the collar. Do not wash the dog with a shampoo a week before putting on the collar. Shampooing disrupts the lipid layer of the skin and can reduce the effectiveness of the collar.

Attaching Scalibor® Protectorband:

Only a properly fastened collar ensures consistent and effective drug release. The aim is to keep the largest possible contact area between the collar and the surface of the dog's neck throughout the wear. This is done by fastening the collar so that two fingers fit between the collar and neck. Cut the rest about 5 cm from the buckle. In growing dogs, the length of the collar can then be easily adjusted to the growing neck circumference.

The active substance is evenly distributed exclusively on the dog's skin when the Scalibor Protectorband collar is fitted. It penetrates the collar into the lipid layer of the dog's skin and spreads throughout the body. The full efficiency of the Scalibor® Protectorband collar is already available at the beginning of the second week of wear. The protection that Scalibor® Protectorband provides takes up to 6 months.

The collar should be worn a week before staying in an infected environment. Swimming in the water does not affect the effectiveness of the collar.

Notice:

Wash hands with soap and water after handling collar. Keep out of reach of children, do not allow children to play with the collar or even suck.

Do not store above 25 ° C.

Do not use in cats and rather in dogs who live with cats in the apartment! Scalibor's active substance is very dangerous for cats.

USE THE SCALIBOR FROM 7 WEEK OF AGE

Collar Scalibor® Protectorband contains the active substance deltamethrin, which reliably protects dogs against ticks, fleas, midges (Phlebotomus perniciosus) and mosquitoes (Culex pipiens pipiens). At the same time, it ensures reliable protection of your dog from diseases that ticks and mosquitoes carry such as babesiosis, ehrlichiosis, Lyme borreliosis, tick-borne encephalitis, leishmaniasis and dirofilariasis. The Scalibor® collar has the following effects:

  • repellent effect: The body of the parasite host treated in this way repels.
  • anti-sting effect: Prevents stinging.
  • crippling effect: Causes parasite paralysis.
  • killing effect: Parasite killing occurs.

Deltamethrin belongs to a group of pyrethroids known for their immediate (repellent) and rapidly killing (insecticidal / acaricidal) effects on parasites.

The term repellent effect is understood to mean the repelling effect of the active substances on ticks and insects, which prevents dogs from sedimentation, stings or bites in dogs treated with this agent. The active ingredient spreads evenly over the animal's skin after the Scalibor Protectorband collar is fitted. Parasites, after brief contact with the active ingredient, exhibit co-ordination disorders followed by Knockdown effect and rapid death. This prevents the host from attacking the parasite and possibly transferring the disease to other dogs that have not been treated or to humans.
