Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Canine Urinary 13kg

Dogs with lower urinary tract disease should be treated with a diet that promotes urinary tract health. Urinary tract disorders can be caused by urinary stones (including struvite and calcium oxalate) in dogs. Royal Canin Veterinary Canine Urinary S/O has been developed for the supportive treatment of cystitis and urinary stone disease and helps to dissolve existing struvite stones / crystals. This feed is also suitable as a prophylaxis against the formation of urinary stones and for the treatment of bacterial cystitis. Royal Canin Veterinary Canine Urinary S/O also supports an increase in urine volume.

Indication:

Specific product features:

    Removal of struvite stones: The composition of URINARY S/O helps to effectively remove struvite stones.
    Increasing the amount of urine: The formula promotes increased urine output. This prevents the formation of struvite and/or calcium oxalate stones.
    Lower RSS (relative supersaturation) value: Low urine saturation that counteracts the spontaneous crystallization of struvite and oxalate.
    Lower magnesium content: magnesium is the main component of struvite stones (magnesium ammonium phosphate hexahydrate).

Duration of treatment:

5 to 12 weeks, or until urinary crystals/stones are removed. In case of a urinary tract infection, the diet should be followed for one month after the first negative urinary tract examination.

Make sure only URINARY S/O is administered during illness. Otherwise, the effectiveness of this product may be limited.

Ingredients:

Rice, maize meal, animal fat, poultry protein (dried), maize gluten, minerals, animal protein (hydrolysed), vegetable fibres, soya oil, fish oil, fructo-oligosaccharides, mono- and diglycerides of palmitic acid and stearic acid esterified with acid lemon, calendula extract (source of lutein).

Protein source: dried poultry protein and hydrolyzed animal protein.

Vitamin A (15,500 IU/kg), vitamin D3 (1,000 IU/kg), iron (44 mg/kg), iodine (4.4 mg/kg), copper (13 mg/kg), manganese (57 mg/kg ), zinc (147 mg/kg), selenium (0.06 mg/kg), sulfur (0.5%), for urine acidification: calcium sulfate (0.88%).
