KMR® Kitten Milk - a powdered kitten milk substitute.

The world's number one for newborn kittens up to 6 weeks of age. Recommended source of nutrition for orphaned, abandoned kittens or kittens that are breastfed but need to be supplemented. The milk is also suitable for growing kittens and adult cats that need a source of highly digestible nutrients.

Directions for making the milk:

Mix or shake one part KMR powder and two parts lukewarm water (a teaspoon, tablespoon or measuring cup can be used). Do not mix more than the kittens will consume in 24 hours. Do not use blenders. The mixed milk should be stored in the refrigerator.

How to feed:

All kittens should be fed by their mother for at least the first two days (if possible). Natural colostrum (colostrum) provides kittens with additional nutrition and temporary immunity to some diseases.

Dosage for kittens: Warm the mixed KMR milk to room temperature (or body temperature) before feeding. Feed kittens two tablespoons (30ml) of liquid milk for every 115g of their weight daily. The daily feeding amount should be divided into equal portions throughout the day. Kittens’ needs may vary and it may be necessary to increase or decrease the amount. Young or weak kittens should be fed every 3 to 4 hours. Older kittens may benefit from feeding every 8 hours. Weigh your kitten daily to ensure proper nutrition. Please consult your veterinarian for feeding advice.

The PetAg Nursing Kit (60ml bottle) is suitable for feeding most kittens. Once your kittens are old enough to drink independently, you can start feeding them mixed milk in a saucer. During the 6th week, you can start mixing KMR milk and KMR 2nd Step food (currently not available). Kittens should then be gradually introduced to solid food.

Dosage for pregnant and nursing cats: Feed two teaspoons (4g) of KMR milk powder for every 2.2kg of body weight daily.

Dosage for growing kittens already accustomed to solid food, show cats and cats recovering from health problems: Feed one teaspoon (2g) of KMR milk powder for every 2.2kg of their weight daily. Add the teaspoon to their regular food.

Storage: Unopened powder should be stored in a cool, dry place. Mixed KMR milk should be kept in the refrigerator for a maximum of 24 hours. Opened powder should also be stored in the refrigerator (max. 3 months) or frozen for up to 6 months.
