Royal Canin VD - Hepatic is a complete diet for adult dogs to support liver function in chronic liver failure and other liver diseases. In case of liver disease, a specially adapted diet is necessary. This feed can also be used for other diseases such as chronic hepatitis, hepatic encephalopathy and piroplasmosis. Plant proteins ensure good tolerability, the reduced copper content combined with the high zinc content can limit copper storage in liver cells. A special combination of antioxidants can also provide cellular protection against attacks by aggressive metabolic products.

Specific product features:
•Vegetable proteins: highly digestible vegetable proteins (soy protein isolate) are very well tolerated by dogs with hepatic encephalopathy and help to counteract hyperammonemia.

•Reduced copper content: low copper content and high zinc content limit copper deposition in liver cells and help prevent liver cell degeneration.
