Small dogs experience a very short but intense stage of growth. If they are adequately stocked with energy and protein, a 20-fold increase in body weight occurs within 10 months. In dogs of small breeds one can expect a life expectancy of 13-16 years if they are already properly fed in their youth.

The Royal Canin Mini Junior has been specially designed for the needs of growing dogs of small races (1 - 10 kg) from 2 months:

  • Bone and muscle building: At about 10 months of age, puppies end up building muscles and strengthening their bones. The energy requirement per kg of weight is about 1.6 times higher than in adult dogs. The supply of calories must therefore correspond to the needs of the puppies, otherwise there is a danger of a fast livelihood.
  • Very good digestibility: carefully selected nutrients and natural aroma are also well tolerated by selectable dogs
  • It does not cause digestive problems: In the early months of life, the digestive system of puppies is very sensitive as it develops gradually. Certain components, such as starch, are digested only in part. Optimal feed containing protein, fructo oligosaccharides and fish oil helps to digest and effectively utilize nutrients.
  • Supports the immune system: the synergistic complex of anitoxins (taurine, lutein, vitamin C and E) helps to build up the body's immune system. Mannan oligosaccharides strengthen the local bowel defense. Essential omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids protect the intestinal mucosa.
  • Optimum Granule Size: The special size, shape and structure of granules make it easier for them to bite

Thanks to the use of LIP proteins in Royal Canin Mini Junior, the guaranteed protein digestibility of 95% has been achieved. LIP is a mark of quality. Selected, well-digested proteins of high biological value.
