Detailed instructions for use

DAJANA GH TEST KIT serves to accurately measure the overall hardness of the aquarium and garden pond.

The quality and chemical properties of aquarium water are very important for the life of all living organisms
and the plant in it. Hardness is one of the basic features of aquarium water. We divide the total hardness (GH)
to carbonate (KH) or temporary and hardness (NKH). In common aquarium practice it is possible
measure only GH and KH. NKH must be calculated by subtracting GH - KH.

This test is designed for fast and simple measurement of GH in freshwater aquarium and garden pond
in degrees of German hardness dGH. More about water hardness can be found at www.dajanapet.cz

Testing procedure

1. Attach the enclosed scoop to the tank and collect 5 ml of water for testing.

2. Hold the test vial vertically above the measuring cup and start slowly dropping
   water test reagent - always 1 drop.

3. Decant the water with the solution in the measuring cup after each drop and check the color shade.

4. Count the drops of the reagent and the moment the color of the sample changes after adding one drop
   from pink to blue, the test is complete.

5. The number of reagent droplets (prior to color change) is equal to the number of degrees of total GH hardness in German
   degrees of hardness dGH. If the water turns blue after the first drop it means that the hardness of the water
   is less than or equal to 1 dGH.

6. At the end of the test, drain and rinse the measuring liquid under running water.

How to adjust the desired GH value in the tank

The GH value is suitable for most fish in the aquarium in the range of 5 ° - 20 ° dGH.
You can reduce the high GH value by adding DAJANA PEAT GRANULES to your filter, if necessary
adding soft (distilled, rain) water. Adjust the values gradually without stress situations
in the tank. When replacing or adding water, always add our DAJANA START PLUS and BIOFILTER.
